Los Feliz Writers Festival

As part of our first Los Feliz Writers Festival, we are launching the Los Feliz Neighborhood Poet Laureate Program to inspire the local community and increase access to poetry and the written word.

This is an honorary position for the year of 2025-2026 which will involve:

• writing poems
• giving performances
• leading poetry workshops
• hosting writing meetups
• curating a literary salon

The purpose of the Poet Laureate role is to engage our Los Feliz community in the joy and power of poetry.

You must live or work in Los Feliz to be considered.

Applications are open from now until August 13th.

The application consists of:

• A brief statement of interest in the position
• 3 published poems including the title, publisher/online platform, and publication date
• Your resume
