Alex Moreno is a Los Feliz Writer whose work explores emotional processes through surrealism, visceral interiority, and synesthetic play. Her debut poetry book, Sticky Time, is forthcoming with Sunflower Station Press in November 2025. You can find her writing published with Scaffold Lit, Spectra Poets, Lit Angels, Dream Boy Book Club, and on her own Substack, Thought juice. Everything is collected on her website.


Alexa Wise is a Los Feliz Writer, poet, comedian, and filmmaker—born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and raised in the Orthodox Jewish community of San Diego. She has performed at UCB, The Pack Theater, The Sims Library of Poetry, The Glendale Room, and Tabula Rasa amongst other venues. She runs The Prototype, a poetry show and open mic dedicated to experimentation and pushing poetic boundaries.


Alionka Polanco is a Los Feliz Writer, actress, and storyteller based in Los Angeles. A semi-retired life coach, her work has been featured in GLAMOUR, SELF, The Huffington Post, and more. Anna Christian is a Los Feliz Writer, poet and filmmaker from Kansas. Her writing has appeared in AnnuletTexas ReviewPrompt PressDirt Child, and Garden Rumours. She lives and shoots hoops wherever she goes. 


Ben Deeb is a Los Feliz Writer who enjoys building furniture, making stained glass windows, and digging large holes in the desert. He’s written four episodes of ABC’s Black-ish, and continues to develop for television, despite the state of the entertainment industry. Ben also writes short fiction and location-based narrative puzzle hunts.


Bernard White is a Los Feliz Writer, but not a writer.  He has never been published by any publication that he can remember.  He is quite an accomplished actor who writes a lot.  He considers himself the poet laureate of Los Feliz.  Ask him and if he’s in the mood, he’ll tell you why.  He was recently kicked out of the Pasadena City College Poetry Workshop.  He believes Love is the necessary foundation for criticism.


CD Eskilson is a Los Feliz Writer, trans nonbinary poet and translator. Their
 debut poetry collection, Scream / Queen, is available from Acre Books. Once, they were in a punk band.


Chris Wright is a Los Feliz Writer, editor, and publisher. He’s been a freelance writer since 2017, and has been published in Outside magazine, WIRED, California Fly Fisher, and others. He publishes the magazine Cafe Goblin with the help of many friends. He’s working on his first novel, Headwaters, about fly fishing to survive the coming apocalypse. He lives with his wife Rachel and his dog Fish.


Colby Smith is a Los Feliz Writer and performer who has appeared on WFMU, Radio Free Brooklyn, IFC, and The Travel Channel. His essays on culture appear on his substack, Actually Really Smart, and he is currently at work on his first novel. 


Derrick C. Brown is a Los Feliz Writer, Storyteller & Writer, Comic, Award-winning poet, Ghost writer, and President of Write Bloody Publishing. He used to be a paratrooper for the 82nd Airborne, but finds writing to be more fun. He is the author of ten books of poetry and four children’s books, and winner of the Texas Book of the Year award for Poetry.


D.W. Socha is a Los Feliz Writer who has won several awards including the Rod Serling Award for screenwriting. She recently published her first novel, The Fair And The Castle, and is passionate about helping other writers explore their creativity. 


Gregory Virgin is a Los Feliz Writer and stand-up comedian. He has contributed to the Weekly Humorist and Robot Butt, among others. Gregory feels unsure of most everything but knows he loves Los Feliz and would like to keep writing. His work can be found at gregoryvirgin.com.


Hanna Pachman is a Los Feliz Writer, poet, whose work has been published by Rattle, Catamaran, Maudlin House, The MacGuffin, and others. Hanna was an Assistant Editor for the poetry magazine, Gyroscope Review for two years. She is currently attending UCR for an MFA in Creative Writing.


Isabella Bellezza is a Los Feliz Writer who enjoys writing weird little short stories and poems. She is a bicyclist and a trans woman and a scientist.


Jennifer “Miss B” Baptiste is a Los Feliz Writer, actor, librarian, event host and illustrator. She creates lyrical introspective pieces to promote healing, mindfulness, and curiosity. Miss B has been published in various book anthologies, zines and literary journals. Under the banner WheresMsB, she produces literary related products that feature her illustrations and zines. Juan Amador is a Los Feliz Writer and performer. He released his first poetry book titled “Pimping My Trauma” with Riot of Roses Publishing House. His poems have been included in the literary journal Mobile Data Mag and anthologies from Beyond The Veil Press, Golden Foothill Press and Poetic Underground LLC Press.


Karla Lamb (she/ella) is a Queer Xicana poet born in Mexico City, with work appearing in Dyke AffairSo To SpeakHooligan Mag, & elsewhere. Her work has been nominated twice for Best of the Net & translated in Revista La Peste. She hosts Verse4Verse, a monthly Sapphic and Queer-expansive poetry night in East Hollywood. Keleigh Ferguson is a Los Feliz Writer and educator who spent her first seven years in LA living in Los Feliz. Her poems have appeared in journals such as Statement Magazine, Jellyfish Whispers, & the Gap-Toothed Madness, as well as in the anthologies Storm Cycle and Point Mass.

lenny love, Jr. is a Los Feliz Writer, an African American filmmaker, actor and poet based in Los Angeles California. SAG AFTRA affiliated, a voice for the streets, he believes in the power of storytelling, he explores the complexities of Black identity and seeks to add his name to the pantheon of great artists who have shaped our understanding of human existence.


Mitra Parineh is a Los Feliz Writer. Her essays and fiction can be found in various publications including The New Orleans Review and Frenshe, and her play Power’s Out was broadcast live in January 2021. She has been a fellow at the Writer’s Block Residency in downtown Las Vegas and the Community of Writers in Olympic Valley. She teaches undergraduate writing at USC and writes an online literary newsletter.


Molly Sanchez is a Los Feliz Writer and comedian who has performed at the Netflix Is a Joke Festival, The LA Comedy Store and various other hives of scum and villainy. She co-hosts The Blume Saloon, a Judy Blume book club podcast and is an officially published fan fiction author.


Phil Leirness is a Los Feliz Writer, filmmaker, podcaster, teacher, CA-certified Violence Prevention Specialist, and live show host. His Substack – “The Voice of Los Feliz” – celebrates the neighborhood he loves. Phil has loved Los Feliz all his life, though he would move to Malta if his wife would allow it.


Raf Mauro is a Los Feliz Writer, actor, and director. He has done over 100 TV shows and films and published books for children, poetry, screen plays and stage musicals. He also sings with a wonderful collection of friends and strangers in a cabaret called Croon in the Afternoon. He is directing a piece for a play for Towne Street Theatre Co in October, and loves living in Los Feliz!


Ryan Socha is a Los Feliz writer who has been a resident for 18 years. He writes occult, horror, and comedy stories, sometimes all in one. He loves practicing mindfulness and meditation. For fun he plays chess and goes for runs.


Rebecca Slater is a Los Feliz Writer, specifically a comedy writer, who has called Los Feliz home for five years and counting. She considers her nightly walks to Griffith Park an essential part of her creative process. You can find her work at cutestudio.art.


Sammy (aka the LiteraryPixie) is a Los Feliz Writer, teacher, and organizer based between London & Los Angeles. She is the co-director of the Los Feliz Writers Festival and the co-director of the CSUN Writing Project. She also edits two zines, The Feminist Toilet & TrashLit and has written three blooks.


Sandi Hemmerlein is a Los Feliz Writer, & author of The Los Angeles Breakfast Club: A Century of Hollywood, Hi-Jinks, and Ham & Eggs! With her knack for lesser-known histories, Sandi has appeared as a historical expert for segments including NPR, Fox 11, & KTLA, & covered history/offbeat travel destinations for PBS, Atlas Obscura, & more. Sharon Yablon is a Los Feliz Writer. She is an award-winning playwright, stage and radio, short story writer, and co-curator of Susan Hayden’s series Library Girl. Her radio plays are found at A Garden of Terrible Blooms. Her stage plays have been performed at venues including The Echo Theater Company and Padua Playwrights.


Steven Benaquist is a Los Feliz Writer, author of award-winning plays Too Many Hitlers & Letterz 2 Tupac, an Evening with Tony Danza. He wrote & performed dozens of sketches &monologues for NPR’s American Parlor Songbook, voiced ‘Honeybear’ in Dreamworks’ Fishstick & Honeybear, & has won awards performing standup & improv around the country & overseas. He is not divorced, not a father of three.


Tanya Gabrish is a Loz Feliz Writer, poet and brand storyteller. Her work has been featured on some of your favorite beauty brand pages but she really finds joy in her dreamy, sun-soaked poetry. Tanya Ward Goodman is a Los Feliz Writer & author of the memoir “Leaving Tinkertown.” She writes about caregiving, art, travel, and the wonders of artist-built environment in publications including The Washington Post, Variable West, The Orange County Register, & LA Review of Books. Tanya volunteers at Marshall High, SELAH and enjoys counting coyotes and hawks on the trails of Griffith Park. @twgoodman


Tim Kirk is a Los Feliz Writer, and author of the western novella Burnt and a collection of short stories The Feral Boy Who Lives In Griffith Park. Tim also makes films as writer and director including Sex Madness Revealed, The Miami Vice Incident, and the award-winning The Mystery of Durango. His producing credits include Room 237 and The El Duce Tapes.


Tracy Chabala is a Los Feliz Writer, pastry chef, & techno artist who cannot stop listening to early Pink Floyd. She’s written about food, culture, & her own crazy experiences including VICE, LA Times, LA Weekly and is currently an editor at Shondaland.com. Lately, to her utter shock, she’s found herself writing — and completing! — short satirical stories to cope with 2025.


William J. Meyer is a Los Feliz Writer, who enjoys writing about cosmic chaos, doomed romance, and sometimes robots. His independent audio fiction was a Platinum Selection at the HEAR Now Festival & awarded Best Speculative Fiction Story (Long Form) from the Parsec Awards.
