Los Feliz Poet Laureate

The purpose of the Poet Laureate role is to engage our Los Feliz community in the joy and power of poetry. You must live or work in Los Feliz to be considered. 

This position has an honorarium of $500 for the year of 2026-2027.

The responsibilities are:

• Create and facilitate three community poetry writing workshops/events (at the Los Feliz Writers Festival 2027, and National Poetry Month!)
• Submit one poem to be published in our community zine
• Perform at the Voices of Los Feliz celebration at the Los Feliz Writers Festival 2027
• One independent poetry project of their choice
