The event that holds our community together is our weekly Shut Up and Write in Los Feliz! It’s listed on our Meet Up & Partiful & Luma.

It’s a free weekly co-working writing group for all types of writers of all backgrounds and abilities who choose to nurture in-person community in Los Feliz.

How much does it cost to come?

It’s basically free! Please support Alcove by purchasing something, other than that, it’s free.

Is it really silent?

No silly! We try our best, but this is a free event at a local restaurant. Also we’re human and sometimes we get excited, laugh at our own jokes, and see familiar faces.

Also, we welcome people who are neurodivergent or new to LA and looking to meet other writers and make friends.

We try our best, and if someone is speaking to you, and you’d like them to be quiet- we’ve brought back Quiet Coyote! Just make the signal, and it’s a gentle prompting.
